Neccesary game
There is no cure but neither can you discover one for what you are doing wrong, comparing it with what is right for the species –on one hand,or comparing it with the emvironment and its laws-on the other hand. Whether or not they are known to you the rules of the environment are relentless and not respecting them has serious cosequences on our health.
In order to explain the environment’s intransigence, the authors of a book called “ Comment donner a vos enfants une intelligence superieure” – Siegfried & Tereza Engelmann use the following example :
“If a baby tries 70 times consecutively to walk without respecting the principle of the gravity centre, the environment – his teacher - will punish him 70 times, immediately and dramatically. The environment is not at all sensitive to sympathy; he doesn’t care how novice the child is or how many tears has he shed. The 70th bad try he makes will be punished the same as the other ones.”
I have inserted the quote above only because it has a suggestive meaning and I am not qualified to validate its scientific correctness. In order to be easier to understand I propose the following different way of reading it : if a child tries to stand up 70 times without respecting the principle of the gravity centre, the environment –his teacher- will punish him 70 times… (a body is in stable equilibrium if the perpendicular which starts in his weight centre falls on the support area, and in the child`s case represented by both sides of his feet
Correlated with the affirmation above, we can say that there is no medicine si in my opinion , there will never be, one to give to the child to prevent him from falling, even if the vertical of his gravity center doesn’t fall in the interior of the supporting area.
The diversity of human kind, biomechanically analised, points out something unnatural , something who looks like chaos. If yesterday man was part of the natural macroscopically chain, the law functioning there was dealing with the deviations from what was natural for the species, as there, any performance lost, creates a deadly vulnerability. Getting out of the trofic chain made the deviations to become ereditarry transmitted, exactly like stabile mutations. I say stabile, because thanks to the intelligence we used to get out of the chain, we can correct, with a little effort, mutations, at least a part of them, if they are identified correctly.
Theoretically, preventing the angylosing spondylitis, and also other affections which have basicly the same root, becomes a verry simple issue, of education; success is though conditioned by the attitude of every’s state society’s services, called to watch on the education and the healthy development of each member but of a minimum of data of the ones predisposed too.
When talking about the musculoskeletal affections, preventing, educating, and at thw beginging the effort of correcting what is not exactly being done the right way, is the only way to cover the scientific truth, it’s the “game” that we have to be taught in childhood and play all our lives.
Whoever doesn’t learn and respect “the rules of the game” is condemned, sooner or later to useless pain until the end.
Even if preventing means itself a dose of suffering, this one is small and useful.
